Nice addition to the home workout
This rope is cheap and affordable and gets the job done. Great way to cool down or warm up the heart rate before or after a workout, and definitely can use this for intense cardio. The rope is fairly made, seems sturdy and doesn’t show any sign of obvious wear or tear after use (but at this price point, I almost consider it a disposable anyways and would happily replace this if needed in the future).

Best jump rope I’ve ever owned (I haven’t owned one in 20 years)
For the price, this jump rope can’t really be beat. I expected it to just be strong and handles, but the rotating ball-bearing setup allows very smooth rotation.For reference, I’m just under 6 feet, and this length is perfect, coming right up to my armpits.I will add, I was not expecting how difficult jumping rope is as a 200 lb man, but I will certainly be able to work up more endurance with this quality product.

Just a meh jump rope.
Our son was getting into personal fitness and wanted a basic jump rope to exercise with. This was a quick and easy purchase and cheap but it wasn’t worth it. The jump rope took a long time to relax and be easy to work with. It is also too light to use for a beginner who was literally just learning to jump rope. We ended up grabbing some heavier rope until he better at it and then went back to this.Does it work? Yes it does. Would we buy it again? Definitely not.

Surprising Quality–Good Value
I wanted a jump rope that would do the job, but I wanted one that was cheap for an amateur. The Amazon Basics jump rope is surprisingly well-made. The “rope” is weighted just enough to make it go around at average speed. If you have used cotton or nylon ropes, you know that they can sometimes be too light and you have to swing them faster to make them go over your head. This jump rope doesn’t have that problem. The handles are nice–maybe a little fat for smaller hands–but not problematic. I keep it stored in a loose coil. The rope hasn’t bent or deformed–it doesn’t seem to bother it however you store it. Good length. I am 5’6″, and I have no problem using it. Someone taller, even close on 6′ could probably use it just fine. Overall, good value. No complaints.

I’ve been jumping rope since 2012. I skip 7 days a week. Usually 3,000 skips a day but sometimes 4,000 or even 5,000. I use my Amazon rope and a lighter Decathlon rope on alternate days. The Amazon rope has lasted me 4 months already (so 2 months of actual use). It’s still in good shape. The foam on the handles is intact. The handle bearings are fine. There’s no rust. So the build quality is excellent. I also like this rope because it is slightly heavier than the Decathlon rope. Like a heavy flywheel it allows me to skip steadily on all kinds of surfaces (good momentum). Because of the extra weight it also works out the arms and shoulders better. Highly recommended.
