Loud and CLEAR
At first I couldn’t get it to power on but then I realized I had to hold the power button. The speaker, for such a diminutive size, is very loud and incredibly clear. The Bird and the Stream added to the tones is a nice touch, I generally use the water one in the shower (and then you can’t hear the stream the device adds but not important). The device is very weighty as well. It has lasted a few months on a charge.

The machine is compact (about the size of my coffee mug) and it has a great aesthetic look to it – very classy looking. It feels like it is constructed well – no cheap plastic-y parts & the materials feel like they’re of decent quality. The sound is clear and good volume range. I wish the interface was a bit different – you have to memorize what each symbol means and there’s no way to tell which setting it is currently set on, as there is no display (I get they were trying to keep a minimal design, but it just makes it more difficult to use). The setting that plays the bells along with the sound of a babbling brook is relaxing at first, but quickly becomes a bit irritating, as you quickly realize its on a repetitive loop – reminds me of a cheap white noise machine. The other options that feature just bells is nice, but i wish there was a way to manually select multiple tones for the bells rather than the same one repeating.In summary: Although the controls could be a little more user-friendly, the machine does help provide a relaxing “zen” atmosphere.

This definitely has realistic sound!!
I am very impressed with thisbsound machine. I wasn’t sure what to expect at the beginning, as I am not one who meditates on a daily basis, but I ordered this for the relaxation and calming effects. I also love to sleep with a noise machine with white noise or rain and storms at night. The sound is really great and crisp. It sounds just as if someone was in the room ringing the chime. This definitely has a calming effect to it as long as it isn’t on the loudest setting. It startled me at first because I wasn’t sure what to expect. One of them has a very loud chime. There are different sound settings and volume levels. They are all nice but I have my favorites. I don’t find it easy to sleep to, but I use it when I’m cleaning my house, doing light exercise, or while on the treadmill. It makes me feel better when I do use this as opposed to loud music or television. This is an ok value, but would be better if there were more sound choices. This is definitely great quality and very heavy in weight and sturdy. It is not cheap plastic. I recommend this for sure especially if you are into meditation.

Great device but overpriced for the limited features
The device itself is sound. It’s heavy weight and the sounds come out beautifully. But it’s a very limited machine. For $80 I was expecting so much more. There’s only 4 standard bowl sounds, 3 long bowl sounds, and 2 other sounds (bowl + water and bowl + birds). There’s no explanation for the different frequencies of the 4 standard bowl sounds, it just lists them and then for the other two varieties it doesn’t even tell you the frequencies or have any explanation. More should be added to the booklet to explain what it is that is playing. I really like the device and plan on using it during meditation and relaxation however I’m rating 4 stars due to it being very overpriced for the small amount of settings, the booklet not listing the frequencies of the other two settings, and there being no explanation for each frequency benefit.Update: I originally rated 3 stars but came back and changed everything to 4 because it really does work beautifully. I feel the relaxation and calm and the sound resonates so well out of the machine. There can be some improvements and the price should be lowered, but the device itself functions great.
