Excellent Greens Product and Good Value
After my favorite greens product became unsustainably expensive, I went on the hunt for new super greens powder to add to my morning power shake. After trying at least a half-dozen organic greens from various brands, this Garden of LIfe Sport Version is the clear winner.Firstly – it doesn’t taste like you’ve emptied your lawnmower bag into your drink. No bitter green flavor and tastes pleasant.Secondly – a great mix of organic greens, superfoods, vitamins, probiotics, and more. I would only ever ingest an all-organic mix of these foods, as given boosting my health as a primary goal, I want to avoid the pesticide and herbicide residues found in conventially-grown foods.Thirdly – Garden of LIfe is a long-established brand that I trust. From it’s inception, Garden of Life has offered the highest quality, organic superfood products and supplements, and been an industry leader in this regard.For the quality, great combination of organic ingredients, this is a solid value for the 30 servings per canister as a daily health and energy booster. 5-STARS.

Sweet – Not Green. Not what I was looking for.
I was so hoping to love this. Garden of Life makes good products but this fell short for me.There is no ‘green’ flavor to it which might suit others but I didn’t want a sweet powder. It’s sickening sweet to me. Yuck. I like the earthy green flavor. This is not that.And as for nutrient content – If you eat enough concentrated greens – it shows up in your bowel movements. This – nothing. I didn’t have it tested but I suspect the bulk of the greens has been processed out of it or wasn’t there to begin with.It has an odd bluish green color to it when it gets wet. I can’t decide if I think that’s an artificial color or what it is… but it’s not kale or spinach green – it’s blue green. Maybe that’s spirulina or something but it didn’t appeal to my senses.Again, maybe this is all ok with others but I have health concerns that benefit from large amounts of leafy greens (and whole foods in general) and I have a hard time consuming enough otherwise. Concentrates are useful if they’re clean – but this seems like pretend processed wannabe greens.I will not be purchasing this again. I decided to go with single ingredient bulk type products rather than a supplement. It’s much better for my needs (and tastes like greens should).
