These smart lamps are great for the money, and ideal for a child’s room. The touch control makes it easy to turn on with a tap of your finger and off with a double-tap, and once on, you can change color with each additional tap. You can also adjust brightness by touching and holding, though it takes a few seconds to cycle through all the brightness levels.Setup was simple with the Apple Home app, and both the Apple Home and Meross apps work nicely to control the color, brightness, and power on/off.I bought 2 and the WiFi on one stopped working after a couple months but Meross customer support was great and sent a replacement after a brief bit of troubleshooting.If it were for my own bedroom, the Soft White setting is a little too yellow for my taste, and I can’t seem to adjust it quite to my preference, but for kids it’s perfect.

2 separate orders came with EU plugs that are useless in America
UPDATE: Meross customer service reached out to me (I had no luck finding a working support number/email when I looked for one) and they immediately sent me a new lamp (with a US plug!). I hope that means they have figured out why EU devices were being shipped out of the Amazon US warehouse. Either way, they solved my problem and I’m happy with the lamp. I really never had any problem with the product itself, just the way the order was fulfilled.PREVIOUS POST: Twice now, I’ve been sent a device with a EU power supply. I bought one previously that came with a US plug. I wanted a matching one, so I ordered another one. Nowhere on the product page does it mention the country and, being sold by Amazon US, I assumed it had a US plug (as the previous one did). I’ve returned the first EU one, and it looks like I’ll have to do the same with the replacement. This is a shame, because I really like the one I got a year ago. They were all shipped and sold by Amazon.

Get ready for the price of these to shoot up, and I am probably to blame. I ordered one of these yesterday morning, received it by early afternoon, and immediately placed an order for 12 more after immediately falling in love with it. I am literally replacing every table lamp in my house with these. The simplicity, the super-clean lines, functionality that just works (even with Apple Home, which is what I am using them with), no visible buttons, nothing to get in the way of their very sleek, stylish form factor, and Meross has a winner on their hands here.The ability to automate the function of these table lamps is just over-the-top convenience, which paired with (again) their form factor, makes these a clear winner in my home. I am simplifying everything possible in my house opting for function and form over fussy lines, things that are hard to clean/maintain/operate, and these Meross table lamps are just the ticket.I’ve found over the last couple of years that Meross has really stepped it up with their lighting game. What started out as a roll-the-dice brand as far as functionality and longevity are concerned has evolved to one of my go-to brands when it comes to lighting that can be integrated/implemented with and into a smart home. I have even replaced all my fixed lighting with Meross’ smart bulbs, and every single one of those is just as easy to operate as these table lamps: Add to your smart home hub, and enjoy. Really. It’s that easy. And considering how many changes I’ve made to my smart home over the last several years, simplicity and reliability are two of the more important factors for me!Buy these. While you can still afford them, because, in all likelihood, I will be buying even more of them.

Function over form
This is ugly, but it wasn’t bought for looks. It was bought to serve as a cat-proof smart light inside the front door and for that it fills the bill nicely. The touch control at the top has a bit of a learning curve because it requires double-taps but it paired fine with my setup and reliably turns on when it’s supposed to. And that’s really all I wanted it to do.

Configuring Over and Over Again – Waste of Time
I have followed all instructions and spent way too much time trying to keep my several MSL450 lights online. Every day I am resetting one or more to get them to stay connected. I love the lamps, I just wish they worked with Alexa. Be warned: you will be spending a lot of time connecting and reconnecting these regardless if it is Apple Home or Alexa setup.

Decent product, painful setup (read for proper instructions)
It’s a pretty good light and it does what it says but the setup process was a PAIN! If you try to set up with Apple HomeKit it WILL NOT HAPPEN. First, if you have a 5GHz, even if it is on automatic mode 2.4GHz-5GHz, it WILL NOT WORK. I had to create a separate 2.4GHz only network just for the lamp. Second, even setting up with the Meross app will not work if you select HomeKit. You have to select a non HomeKit model and connect it to the 2.4GHz network. After it’s added to the app and you make sure you can control it, then you go to Apple HomeKit and it will finally add it. I was able to do this because I’m technologically advanced and I know what I’m doing. I’m sure the majority of the people won’t know what to do and the instructions are so vague and badly translated that they won’t help. After all that I’m finally controlling my light with Siri. I hope this review helps all those struggling to set this thing up
