Easy to Swallow and Fine with Casual Use
Doctors claim it’s hard to measure if vitamin supplements do any real good, but I feel better taking an Omega 3 supplement as I don’t eat enough fish. It’s easy to swallow and I don’t have that fish burp that other brands something trigger in me. Overall I thought this was a good product if a little pricey.

  2. TanH

    Concentrated fish oil
This is high quality fish oil with a high amount of DHA and EPA. These are the important omega 3 fatty acids that matter, and many other brands have a high amount of fish oil, but low amounts of DHA and EPA.3 capsules of this will get you an effective dose of over 2000mg of EPA and DHA. This is good for heart health, but technically 2 capsules a day is also sufficient. I like these capsules because they don’t taste like anything and they are easy to swallow. I’ve tried cod liver oil before but couldn’t handle the fishy taste. Taking only 2 capsules a day is good enough and easier on my wallet because this bottle of 90 will last 45 days.

    Omega 3 Fish Oil
Omega 3 Fish Oil. These are wild-Caught & “Burpless” Fish Oil 3600 mg, with Omega3 Fatty Acid EPA 1300 mg and DHA 860 mg. Serving size is 3 soft gel for a 1 month supply. I use these for heart health. Easy to take, but since they are on the large side, not sure why need 3 to accomplish the needs. Otherwise they are good.

Very potent and very LARGE capsules
Our family doc recommended my wife and I both take fish oil supplements for a variety of reasons. My wife has a lot of joint pain, so much so that she’s already had a knee and shoulder “scoped,” and receives a steroid injection every 3 months in one knee. A couple years ago she got tired of taking four fish oil capsules every day, and stopped taking them. Not long after that she noticed a steady increase in her joint pain. She wondered if discontinuing the fish oil was the culprit, and sure enough, after she resumed, the joint pain gradually lessened. (But only to a point; she’s still eventually going to need knee replacement surgery; pill can only do so much!)Until we’ve taken this product for months we won’t be able to compare it to our current source of fish oil, Life Extension brand “Super Omega-3 EPA/DHA Fish Oil, Sesame Lignans & Olive Extract.” One thing is clear: our present capsules are much smaller and easier to swallow than this Nation Health MD brand. I included a photo comparing the two products. Although the bottle recommends a daily dosage of three capsules, the amount of DHA and EPA at that dosage is about 1-1/2 times as much as in our current product, so given the massive size of these capsules, we’ll probably just be taking two daily instead of three, which will give us comparable quantities. So I included the photo to advise you of the size of the capsules. Not everyone wants, or is even able, to swallow such large capsules. It’s something you should consider before ordering.Full Disclosure: I received this product at no charge through Amazon’s Vine program in return for writing an honest, accurate product review. Amazon’s only requirement is that I review the products I order, not that I praise them. I believe I have an obligation to tell you what I think – good and/or bad so you can make informed purchases.

    Heart, Joint, and Brain Health
Since I became an “older” person, I have been searching for supplements to keep my heart, brain, and joints healthy. I began taking Fish Oil Supplements a few months ago, and truly feel that they help in all of those areas.I received these Omega-3 MD Fish Oil Supplements about a week ago. I appreciate the fact that they are sourced from Wild Caught Anchovy, Herring, Mackerel, and Sardines, and are “manufactured” in the USA. These smaller fish are packed with Omega 3 Fatty Acids and contain less mercury than the larger fish. The Recommended dosage for this Fish Oil is 3 soft gels daily. By taking this amount, they contain an adequate amount of both DHA and EPA for your overall well being.Personally, I find them to be very large (1″ long) and I cannot swallow them. Other people may not find this an issue, but please be aware that they are large before you make your purchase. See photo by the measuring tape for reference. Because of the large size of the pill, I gave this supplement 4 stars.

    Slightly sweet to the tongue
The suggested dosage is three soft gels per day, which is 2160mg of fish oil. There’s no fishy taste to them, just a slightly sweet feeling and a hint of lemon. The gels aren’t too large, so taking them is easy. I like that the ingredients list is short with nothing much added other than the needed gel packaging. Really a nnice option for your supplement needs.

    A Pricey Pescado Pill
This 90-count bottle of Omega-3 fish oil softgels hails from Nation Health MD. It’s listed as a high-potency supplement with a 3600mg fish oil equivalent, sourced from wild-caught fish and containing concentrated EPA and DHA.As is often the case with supplements, it’s hard for me to quantify the direct results of taking these. However, the softgels themselves seem fine and are easy to take. They are unflavored but have a light lemon essence in the oil to help prevent any fishy aftertaste, which is a nice touch. The product is presented as a high-quality, wild-caught fish oil. My main issue, however, is that the price at the time of this review seems comparatively high. All in all, while this appears to be a good quality fish oil supplement, the high price point makes the value questionable for me compared to other options. Should I ever get hooked on a better deal, this review will be updated in the future.

    Bigger Pills with more EPA
Interesting omega3 pills from four different types of fish: Mackerel, Sardine, Anchovy, and Herring. They’ve added lemon oil to suppress the aftertaste, and it works. It has more EPA than DHA per pill, so it’s formulated towards cardiovascular benefits a tad more than the brain health. Capsules are a tiny bit big and fat, but they’re smooth just needs more water to swallow, and you’ve to take 3 per day which is a bit of a hassle. Overall, these are good pills.
