I like this protein powder, i needed something non dairy…i put it in my coffee for added benefits and it has a nice flavor ,it gives me energy without a crash…I think the price is reasonable…I like to mix it in my creamer in blender for a good mix.. it does have a chalky after taste when settles….its not bad though….its a good non dairy option…

Frothy Protein Shake
Honest review, I am switching from a organic plant based protein to this option. Strictly because I do not want any sugar or stevia, and a higher protein value in this product. The taste is mild which I am good with, the vanilla taste comes across as manufactured. Mixing in a shaker created a frothy drink, I mixed with just water, took several additional rinses with water to get the full consumption of product. I will try for a three month period and update my review at that time. So far I am good with it.

This tastes so bad. It’s grainy and and salty? It tastes so weird and clumps up to a thick paste when added to any kind of yogurt. Vegan or regular. Not like a usual consistency like ghost protein or ever Trader Joe’s but a stirring peanut butter level paste. The photo is protein yogurt with pears and cinnamon but 0/10

It’s good value for the money but the texture is almost too fine and it puffs everywhere no matter how careful you are with each scoop. Also sort of leaves a not great aftertaste.

OWYN swears that putting the powder in hot coffee doesn’t degrade the health benefits. So I tried it. Zero sugar so I’m happy about that, as a diabetic. Mixes well using a frother. I feel good knowing I’m getting some protein in the morning when I don’t have time to make breakfast. It’s a little gritty, but not nearly as gritty as some powders I’ve tried. Every sugar free product has an after taste to me, but this one is minimal. Would highly recommend.

OWYN Pro-Elite Powder VanillaAfter being satisfied with the OWYN Pro-Elite chocolate shake, I decided to try the powder in a different flavor. I mix 2 scoops in 12 ounces of liquid. I expected the result to be something like the shake, but with a vanilla flavor. That is not what I got.It tastes terrible, no matter what I mix it with. It is barely drinkable. I tried it with water, milk, and oat milk, and I tried flavoring it with cinnamon, coffee, and cocoa. In the end, plain water is the best and it is not good.It’s very easy to mix with a blender, though it does get frothy. The texture is not lumpy, but I wouldn’t call it smooth.I tried the powder because it is much cheaper than the shakes, and it takes up less space. I still like the idea of the powder, so I’m going to try the chocolate powder next. I hope I don’t regret it.Note also that the powder and shake are both branded Pro-Elite, but the nutritional content is different.
