Why does SNOOZ only make 1 sound?
Since SNOOZ has a real fan inside, it only produces 1 sound. It doesn’t make any digital noises and isn’t a speaker. Great for customers who prefer fan noise (white/pink noise), want a natural sound for sleep, or like fan noise without the cold air.
Can I schedule my SNOOZ to turn on/off automatically? What features does the app have?
Yes. With the free SNOOZ app, you can schedule automatic on/off by day. It also acts as a digital remote to adjust volume and includes a nursery calibration feature. Download the app for iOS or Android devices from the App Store or Google Play Store.
Is SNOOZ safe and effective for babies and newborns?
Yes. SNOOZ plays constant, natural white noise to help babies sleep. The app’s Nursery Calibration measures sound levels, allowing you to view the decibel output and protect developing ears.
Can the SNOOZ sound machine help calm anxious dogs or pets?
Yes. SNOOZ helps calm anxious pets by masking noises like fireworks, thunder, or barking. It can help with separation anxiety and block outside noise that might wake your dog during the night.
Can SNOOZ help with insomnia or other sleep-related issues?
SNOOZ is commonly used for insomnia, light sleepers, and people who struggle to fall asleep due to environmental noise. The white noise helps mask disruptive sounds and promotes a more restful sleep environment for a deeper REM cycle.

I like this thing
I got pretty sick and knew I wouldn’t be able to take my dogs out for their usual exercise and fun for at least the next week, and every sound from our building would set them off since theyre more amped. So I used what energy I had to look up a noise machine that would mask outside sound, sounded “real,” and didn’t have any noticeable skipping or resetting of a sound track. The regular type snooz model was in one of those best of lists, and I looked up the stats. Seeming to fit the bill, I ordered it and basically went back to sleep until the next day when it was delivered. Thanks prime, and thanks having a fever. The machine was packed well inside the box, and the directions are pretty dang straight forward. After fiddling with it for a few minutes, I found the sound I liked/tolerated the best and set it up where I needed the most help: the part of the wall against my building’s stairs. Here’s some pros:- The fan doesn’t falter and has a consistent sound the entire time- It masks sound to a degree- It can be extremely quiet or super loud and you can control that!- It’s small and innocuous- The app is easy to understand- The app is Bluetooth only so there isn’t extra steps of connecting to wifi- No annoying ticks or resetting sounds from a recorded track restarting! Have I mentioned how nice it is to have a real fan?- It sounds real, not like a speaker, so no electrical or tinny sound- You can use the app to turn it off and on as well as adjust volume, so placing it up high won’t be annoying- The app also allows scheduling on and off times so you can set it and forget itHere’s some cons for control freak dog owners:- the sound initially freaked out my dogs. I strongly suggest starting on the quieter settings and pelting your dog with treats before using louder settings- Because the app is Bluetooth only, I won’t be able to adjust the machine when I’m not at home (this isn’t really the worst because I’d rather it not be connected to my wifi. I’ll take that hit.)- You can’t adjust the tone of the sound with the app (not a deal breaker for me because I just need to set that once)Overall it doesn’t completely eliminate all sound from the outside if you live in a poorly insulated, old balls, small apartment building with an upstairs neighbor that thinks racing up the stairs using his full bodyweight in each step is the only way to go up the stairs like I do, but it DOES dampen the sound. It also means that it will somewhat dampen/mask the sound coming OUT of my apartment as well, making me less worried about my dogs’ play sounds being annoying to my neighbors. My dogs have been reacting 50% less to outside sounds which had been a load off my mind (in addition to food puzzles, lots of toy play time, small yard breaks. A noise machine is not the only thing needed to help keep dogs chill.) I haven’t seen them this calm for this long of a stretch at home since my neighbors went on vacation.I recommend this noise machine to people looking to mask outside sounds or even inside sounds from getting out, and if you’re looking to mask sounds in a place bigger than 6 or 700 Sq ft, I would get two+ to cover different rooms. My outside noises all come from only one side of my place, so I feel comfortable with just the one. If I decide I want one for the other side of my apartment or yard for privacy, I’ll get a second one so this first can stay where it is.

Snooz is better than Dohm
I know way more about sound machines than I did a few days ago thanks to moving to a new apartment and being outside a set of metal stairs and loud upstairs neighbors. We came from an apartment that had a wall AC so we were used to a loud sound at night. I needed 2 machines for home in two different rooms and one at work also so I decided to buy 3 different kinds and compare them. After much research and comparison I got a Dohm classic, a Snooz, and a Sound + Sleep high fidelity sleep machine. The dohm and snooz are real fan types.I got the dohm first. It was good, it worked for what I needed. It has a high and low fan and you swivel the exterior for tone which works well and is easy to turn. The machine made a humming vibration on my dresser so I had to have it on the floor. The button to turn to high, low, and off makes a very loud snap when you change its position, and off is in the middle of high and low, so when you switch from one to the other it turns off in between and it’s very distracting, especially if it were in the middle of the night.3 out of 5 for me. If none of these things bother you it is about half the price of the other two so go ahead. I think I’ll keep it for work. But…The second day I got the snooz and plugged it in right next to the dohm and compared them side by side. First off, the snooz looks much nicer and decorative, but the main take away is there are several volume settings and the tone just sounds better overall. The method of changing the volume is a touch button and it is silent. The twisting for tone is a little weird to turn because of the mesh sides but how often will you be doing that? Not a very noticeable difference with the tone changes. Max volume of the snooz blew the dohm out of the water. Minimum volume of the snooz barely noticeable which is great to have that option to go anywhere on the range from 1 to 10. Dohm hi fan was about a snooz level 6 and low fan was about a snooz level 4.5 out of 5Then I got the sleep machine which is totally different because it’s digital not real fan. I read a review from someone saying that they tried the dohm and the real fan annoyed them and that the digital sounds on this one are great and normally they are sensitive to crappy sound. That’s what I wanted to hear so I ordered it. Plugged it in and went through all the sounds and found not even one that I liked. They all sounded fake. They were all more distracting than peaceful. 1 out of 5In conclusion, real fan for sleep is best. Snooz is the better fan type of the two I tried.
