I have had several of the TruBars. I really like the ingredients (great fiber!), the flavor of several of the bars and the texture. I’m a “chewy” person. I really loathe the chalky, pasty, crumbly protein bars and am glad I finally found one that isn’t that way.**FAVORITES**Key Lime: Someone said that it tasted to them like a marshmallow and a key lime pie had a baby. I feel that’s accurate. It’s got a good lime taste, it’s great for curing the sweet tooth, and doesn’t have any chalky aftertaste. It’s one of my favorites when I’m looking for a citrus-y/sweet treat.Saltylicious Almond Love: This one is also amazing! It doesn’t taste exactly like almonds and chocolate, but more like a toffee-ish flavor. It’s less sweet than the Key Lime, so on the days that I want something chocolate, this is one I turn to. The texture and the no chalk aftertaste is something I really love about these bars!**These were tasty and I would get them if my favorites weren’t available**Daydreaming about Donuts: This one was decent. It did have a slight donut flavor, but I don’t think I would seek it out if I had other flavor options.Oh oh Cookie Dough: This one was also pretty good. It did taste like cookie dough, so if that’s what you are going for, I don’t think you will be disappointed. It has the same great texture of the other TruBars.**I didn’t like these at all and couldn’t finish them after the first or 2nd bite**Strawberry Shorty Got Cake: I didn’t get any of those words from the first bite I took and I threw the rest of the bar away. It didn’t have a strong strawberry taste.Birthday Cake: No – just, No.

These are by far the best tasting and textured protein bar I’ve ever had. The macros aren’t super great… I really wish there was a bit more protein for how many calories they are. But the taste.. 10/10!!! I’ve had the coca for coconuts, birthday cake, and glaze doughnut and they are seriously SO good!! Doughnut is probably ly my favorite.Best dessert replacement: chop up one of the bars and sprinkle it over some diced apples and a few fallows of plain Greek yogurt + vanilla protein powder. You got yourself a high protein “snicker salad” replica that’s way better for you.

I was pleasantly surprised by These Bars. I’ve been looking for a good chocolate mint bar I have one I like but there not the same as they used to be. Anyway tried one at first I was like it’s okay and then I had a couple more bites and I was like this is really good. So definitely have a great taste and they’re nice and soft and chewy. I think when you’re trying to watch what you eat the act of chewing really does help you feel like you’re eating more then you are. I wish there were a little cheaper but I plan on ordering them again.

GLAZED DONUT is the best flavor protein bar I’ve ever had – and I’ve tried a lot!
The glazed donut flavor is my absolute favorite; in fact, it’s the only flavor I will eat. Even my kids like these bars, and they’re super picky! If anyone is familiar with the old school candy “cow tails” it tastes a lot like that to me in the glazed donut flavor! I also appreciate the cleaner ingredients in this brand, they used to sell them at Costco but stopped carrying this flavor so Amazon is now my go to – the price with subscribe and save is actually very reasonable. I’ve had these on order at least a year and I have never had a bad pack, theyre never dry always fresh! The protein content is a little less than other bars at 12g, but so is the calorie content.

Amazing taste, perfect for any one!
These bars are amazing. This is the ONLY bar I’ve found that is liked by my 18yr old daughter, my husband and my mother. So it spans generations. My husband loves the mint and salty almond, my daughter loves the cookie dough and coconut, my mom loves the shortcake and coconut. I love them all. I buy at least 3-6 cartons a month.

Pb&j is amazing
I am similar to many of you – rotating through many protein bars, hating the texture of many bars. This bar is amazing! The taste of pb&j hits you at the end of each bite and the texture is good – it’s similar to a soft caramel – smooth and sticky but doesn’t stick as much as caramel. I can’t wait to try other flavors!

Okay Key lime
The bar seems to be unflavored, with the coating having the lime flavor. And it is a prominent lime flavor. I do not taste any key lime pie, creamy or graham cracker elements. That’s disappointing. Edible, yes. Repurchase this flavor, no. As always, love the protein content, ingredients, and portability of Trubar.

Let me start by saying these TruBars are insanely good. Like, “did I just eat dessert and call it healthy?” good. The strawberry shortcake flavor is so divine it could make Gordon Ramsay weep softly into a protein shaker.But dear Lord… the aftermath. About 45 minutes after consumption, my digestive system transformed into a biological weapon testing facility. The air grew heavy. Plants began to wilt. My dog looked at me with betrayal in his eyes and left the room without a sound.The scent doesn’t just dissipate….it settles. It’s sentient. It follows you like an unholy fog, slowly seeping through doorways and vents, claiming innocent bystanders along the way. I swear I saw the smoke detector start to blink “HELP.”Would I buy them again? Without hesitation. They’re delicious, filling, and an excellent way to ensure you’ll never be asked to share an office, elevator, or small car ride ever again.A true five-star experience, equal parts pleasure and punishment.

I’ve been addicted to Trubars since I first came across them a few years ago, and with citrus being one of my absolute favourite flavours in general, I thought that their new key lime flavour would be utter perfection.Not only was it not even remotely as good as any of their other flavours, it was terrible. For the most part, the bars themselves are all the same, with the difference showing up in the coating by way of flavouring extracts. The key lime smelled very much like cleaning products and tasted extremely artificial, with a perfumed aftertaste that almost made me feel like I was walking by Bath and Body Works.Let’s be real. As far as protein bars go, the nutrition profile of Trubars isn’t astounding. The protein is relatively low, with higher calories and sugar, comparatively. The macros aren’t amazing. I buy them because they are vegan and (usually) an incredibly delicious, healthier alternative to a chocolate bar or other sweet snack.All other flavours available in Canada I’d rate between 4.5-5/5. The key lime would get a 0/5. I hope the recipe gets reworked with some real key lime zest, and they do away with the scented candle flavouring.

Does it taste good? No! It tastes like peanut butter clay, thinly-coated in a melty, fruit-like glaze.Is it healthy? Kinda. Each bar has 7 grams of sugar, 125 mg of sodium and 3.5 grams of saturated fat. Better than some other options, but not ideal.Is it filling? No! You’ll feel hungry within seconds.But it’s cheap, right? No. It’s more expensive than a lot of other options.
