Excellent Product
I’m very pleased with the Vital Vitamins Multi Collagen. It’s easy to swallow, doesn’t upset my stomach. I’ve noticed improvement in my hair and nails since taking it. Hair is stronger—no more strands in my comb and nails are stronger and growing much faster. I took another collagen product for over a year that only had two types of collagen and didn’t see any changes. I’m definitely going to continue with this collagen.

This is by far the best collagen supplement I’ve used. It does not upset my stomach past the first few days which is normal when introducing more collagen into your diet. Also, I NOTICE when I don’t take this! In my joints for sure but mostly in my SKIN! My skin looks AMAZING when I take this regularly!

Noticetable results in weeks for hair and nails
I recommend this supplement without reservation: this product absolutely works! Over the past couple of years, I have come to learn how important collagen is for many aspects of health. But specifically, I learned that I could speed up healing an injured nail by taking collagen (specifically, these types). 6 capsules is recommended on the package, but I thought that was a lot, so I only take 3 (once a day). My nail grew back in half the time I was told, and I see that all of my nails are stronger and grow faster than they used to. This product has also helped with regrowing hair due to trauma from surgery. I will continue to take this collagen supplement indefinitely and have recommended it to several friends for multiple skin and nail related concerns.The capsules are easy to swallow and don’t have any aftertaste, which is very much appreciated.Packaging is clean and informative, and the dosage is simple—just three capsules a day. I’d love to see a breakdown of collagen sources (marine, bovine, etc.) for transparency, but overall, this is a proven, outstanding addition to my wellness routine.

Some of the Side Effects of Taking Collagen Supplements (Including the ones I experienced)
I have been taking this product since early March 2025 for joint support. I had also started exercising regularly a few weeks earlier and eating a lot healthier, to reduce my weight and have overall better health. In late March, I noticed a small rash on my inner thigh (it fit under a 2×3 band aid). My doctor couldn’t identify it but, because I’ve had relative who have had Shingles, she said it might be that. I was preventatively prescribed an antibiotic and a topical steroid treatment. They took away the uncomfortable symptoms but the rash remains. I noticed that I also developed very mild acne and brittle finger and toe nails. The acne went away but the brittle nails persist. Because I’d made three changes at about the same time (exercise, diet and collagen supplement), I attributed these issues to my body adjusting, expecting them to resolve over time. I did notice, however, my joints felt better. I recently spoke with my sister and she told me she had tried to take different collagen supplements but they all caused her to have rashes on her inner thighs so she stopped taking them. A lightbulb went off in my head and I looked up the possible side effects of taking collagen supplements. I found listed among them not only the side effects I experienced but those of many other people who provided comments here. I’m sharing the side affects I found on the web, for your awareness and to help in your decision-making about this and other brands. This list is not exhaustive; there may be other side effects.What causes collagen side effects?Collagen intake has its benefits, but some people may exhibit side effects due to various factors, including collagen intolerance and improper collagen dosage.
