Very powerful for large muscles and back but It can be very gentle on injuries too.
I am a big guy with some persistent muscle knots in my lower back, neck and a torn MCL. I wanted something with the most power possible and this thing packs a punch. It is exactly what I needed and works wonders to loosen my back with a lot of pressure (I’m about 240 lbs and lean back on it to get a deep tissue skeletal vibration. Hahah it is amazing. Using in more lightly on my neck and injured knees is also perfect relief and relaxation. It’s definitely a “buy it for life” quality product and I am very glad I didn’t opt for something else.

I bought this with my own money. Be aware that this brand clearly pays for reviews without asking their reviewers to disclose the relationship. Quite obvious from the fawning tone and brand obsession on display on a popular review site. They also openly pay for reviews from Vine users, which IMHO should not be allowed on any credible ecommerce platform. That said, the product actually is more or less as advertised. Super long battery life and fast charging, genuine long stroke performance, nearly impossible to stall even on low, very good build quality. I haven’t owned a Theragun or Hyperice, but this is a product that might well be genuinely comparably with first grade Western brand goods.I personally upgraded from the older B37S as mine was loud enough I didn’t feel like I could use it much and it seemed to have become more prone to rattling under load. I can confirm that the new model is a bit quieter, in part due to a lower minimum speed, but probably also because of motor/dampening improvements. The increase of 1mm in stroke appears indiscernible, but I agree that the new thumb wheel speed control is great as it allows one to regularly see whether a low or high speed will more invite a muscle to release. The rubber tip is pretty cool, as are the lower RPMs, but I no longer have any trigger points so intense that I require this. Note the new USB C connector, older ones used a proprietary charger.To be honest, this gun isn’t much of an upgrade over the B37S. I think I said as much above. But it is a real, serious tool. I put at least 100 hours of usage on my last gun and it still works pretty well. Torque such that even on low it’s showing no signs of stalling even on major muscle groups. Battery that lasts for 2+ hours of moderate usage. Impact that travels deep into muscle groups and can light up holding patterns and reach into tension areas that are hidden under bony mass. Engineering to sustain long, hard loads; it can get disturbingly warm if running for 30+ minutes and doing high speed + high pressure work on major muscle groups, but I’ve never seen it shut off.I highly recommend this device as a part of a myofascial healing routine. Just don’t neglect the other things, like breath restoration work, depth psychology/inner family work, feel your &*^% feelings, repatterning our attention towards positivity/trust, unwinding practices where we try to stop fixing things. i.e, the body/mind is much more complex than “this muscle is tight, all will be well if I just pound on it hard enough for long enough.” Don’t laugh! I still catch myself falling into variations of that trap!

Very powerful gun
Fantastic massage gun that resists stalling better than all the others I tried and sent back. I also have an Ached away pro which is a beast due to its 16mm amplitude. The Kestrel is just as strong with slightly less amplitude but does a great job. I’m 6’6″ tall with chronic spine issues and need a gun that is as strong as can be and the Kestrel and ached away pro are the only 2 are the strongest out there. The Kestrel has a great thumb wheel that controls the speed so if you want to ease it off for more sensitive areas you can do that easily with that control wheel.Highly recommended for people looking for a strong /powerful gun. It isn’t cheap but I’d say you definitely get what you pay for when it comes to these massage guns..

The build quality is excellent. But the lowest setting is too strong. If you hit a bone, it hurts like hell. If you even get close to the neck area, your head will ring like a bell.
