Keto or not, these are absolutely delicious!
Every few months, my partner goes on keto, so I was trying to find some recipes and snacks for him to enjoy for variety. A friend gave a few recommendations including these keto bombs, describing them as amazing even if you’re not on keto.I tried a pack before giving them to my partner, just to be sure, she boy was my friend right! These are delicious! They remind me a bit of eating a 100 Grand bar. There’s just the right amount of sweetness—with the chocolate, caramel, and little crisps—and there’s no weird or bitter aftertaste that I tend to be sensitive to with these kinds of treats.The portion is just right, too. While I could certainly eat several of these in one go, one is just enough to satisfy a craving for a sweet treat when it hits. This fit in nicely with the low-carb meals we’ve been preparing.I know sometimes these kind of diet-specific foods can have…unwanted side effects, we haven’t noticed any stomach issues or anything. I especially have had troublesome suggestive issues in more recent years, but I have zero issues with these, which was a bit of a relief to me. However, not to minimize the experiences of others, I didn’t eat these every day and at most ate two packs in a day. I think that anything that carries certain sweeteners will eventually catch up if eat more often or every day.I didn’t have a problem with these melting, although I ordered them just before the summer heatwaves. From even holding them while eating, they will melt like regular chocolate candy, so try not to order if temperatures are warmer in your area. I store them in a cool area or pack them in a cooler, so I’m not sure how the consistency or taste might change if they melt.Overall, these are delicious. They are a bit pricy, even when on sale, but for me the price was worth having something around that my partner could enjoy as if he weren’t on a specific diet. It’s been hard finding things that are both tasty without the carbs, and I’m so glad my friend recommended these. I’ll…er…my partner will have to try some of the other treats they offer!(Don’t tell my partner, but I may have snuck a few more packets out of the box.)

This is, hands down, the BEST keto treat I’ve ever had. I’ve been on a strict 20g/day carb level for months, and these are like a gift from heaven! If I didn’t know any better, I’d swear they were the real full-sugar thing.PROS:* The caramel is sweet and gooey, the chocolate is smooth, and the “rice” crisps add a nice crunch. The flavor and texture is reminiscent of “100 Grand” bars.* Most keto treats I’ve tried either have a very strong bitter after taste or cause terrible tummy troubles. This one has a very faint after taste that I don’t even notice unless I’m really paying attention, and it and doesn’t cause any GI issues for me.* It DOES NOT contain maltitol, which tastes pretty good, but can spike blood sugar and causes GI issues in my experience.CONS:* They’re a little pricey, but not that bad considering most keto-related food items tend to be.* I can only eat one package per day T_T.OTHER THOUGHTS:* Some reviews state that this isn’t “clean” keto. For me, I know this is a treat, I only eat one package every few days, and I’m not looking to impress anyone with how hard-core keto I am.* Some reviewers say this knocks them out of ketosis. I test my keto levels several times a day with the BioSense breath meter, and I haven’t had any issues with my levels dropping when I eat these.In short: THESE. ARE. THE. (KETO.) BOMB!
