Note: Fish collagen is sourced from the skin, scales and bones of fish. Bovine collagen is sourced from cows’ bones, cowhides, and other connective tissues like hooves and cartilage.Fish collagen is a Type I collagen. It has the better absorption and bioavailability compared to other animal collagens and thus may be more effective. The Vitamin C and hyaluronic acid in this blend also help improve absorption. The included keratin and biotin are great for hair, skin and nails. Ditto for the rest of the included vitamins. The container comes with a 10g scoop. The marine collagen powder is very lightweight and dissolves easily in cold water or juice. I can detect no fishy taste or odor. After dissolving a scoop of the collagen powder in cold water, I add a packet of Emergen-C to give it some flavor. I take it first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. The overall improvement in the appearance of my skin is noticeable. The longer you supplement with collagen, the more improvements you’ll see. My skin also heals more quickly from bug bites and abrasions/cuts. I started using Zebora marine collagen over a year ago. I honestly didn’t notice anything unusual with the taste, vs any other non-marine brands that I’ve tried.I’ve used it in coffee and smoothies, and it dissolved well and was fairly imperceptible that’s it’s in there.They have a decent website, though obviously very marketing-focused. And, they seem to say that their products are 3rd-party tested, though I didn’t find any evidence of it.That said, if you take them at their word, it honestly seems like a good product, and reasonably priced for what it is.

I don’t take a lot of collagen powder for the fact that it just runs straight through you. I was curious about this marine collagen thinking it was from seaweed, but no, it’s from fish bones. I made the mistake of tasting the powder first to see what I could mix it in. I’ll tell right now, DON’T DO THAT. It’s disgusting. Tastes like rotting fish and I had to spit it out. I had seen how many people said it was flavorless so I tried adding it to my yogurt which worked fine. I couldn’t shake the thought of the fishy taste though. Ultimately, I’ve decided this isn’t for me, but I can’t say there’s anything wrong with it. I guess if you’re really into collagen this is a good as any.
